Click the birdie to find out about the Friends of the Library Organization.

The Library, the Friends, the S-D Historical Society and the S-D School System have begun the task of making the local Commercial Record newspaper archive available on line.

This will only work over hi-speed Internet (like at the Library) and if you are *NOT* using the PC version of the Internet Explorer® browser.

Page images from 1868 into the 1950s are now available. Try it!

On-Line Services

Search by TITLE or AUTHOR through 4 million books from the Catalogs of 76 West Michigan Libraries. You can also have books put on "hold" and/or sent to the Saugatuck-Douglas Library for you (you'll need the barcode number from your library card for this service).
Inspect your "Patron Information," i.e., the list of books you have out or on reserve. Again, be prepared to enter the number below the barcode on your library card.
Patrons who would like to receive notification of holds and overdue items by e-mail may sign-up by filling out a PRIVACY WAIVER, one time, online. Please Note: Patrons under 18 must have parental consent to activate this service.
Library Patrons can now do geneology research using the Library's subscription to Ancestry.com. Sorry, doesn't work from home.
Reference source designed for younger readers (through 6th grade). See a librarian for password information.
This collection of databases covers topics ranging from agriculture to business to geography to zoology citations from popular magazines
